Why are experts calling to “make LDL matter again”?

In our recent Stakeholder Summit, experts look at what is still standing in the way of better ASCVD management. They highlighted several challenges, including clinical inertia, low use of guideline-supported therapies, and barriers that prevent patients from getting the treatments they need.

Across every conversation, one theme stood out: lowering LDL early and consistently is key to reducing cardiovascular risk. Experts agreed that improving outcomes will require stronger coordination, better patient education, and policies that support evidence-based care.

Their insights show how much potential there is to close gaps and advance long-term heart health.

Emerging data shows a more hopeful outlook to multiple myeloma treatment.

With modern 4-drug regimens and transplant already driving progression-free survival beyond 10 years, the next frontier is integrating powerful immunotherapies earlier in the disease course. In this clip, an expert explores how agents like linvoseltamab may shift treatment upstream, intercept smoldering disease, and harness the immune system to achieve deeper, longer-lasting control. The potential to push first-line PFS to 15 years or more could redefine what’s possible for patients.
