Daisy Sour Cream is moving its headquarters to Plano!

It’s another exciting win for our community and one more example of why businesses continue choosing Plano to grow. Along with several other major corporate relocations and expansions, this move strengthens our local economy, creates new opportunities, and reinforces Plano’s reputation as one of the best places to live and work.

"Daisy Brand has been a respected leader in the dairy industry for more than a century, & we're honored they've chosen Plano for their headquarters," Mayor Muns said

Plano Named the 2nd Safest Big City in the U.S. for 2026

We’re proud to share that a new SmartAsset study has named Plano the No. 2 Safest Big City in the United States—and the reasons behind the ranking speak volumes about our community.

Reflecting on Plano’s national safety ranking, Plano Police Chief Ed Drain stated: ā€œPublic safety is a shared responsibility. This recognition belongs to our officers, civilian professional staff, community partners, and residents who work together every day to keep Plano one of the safest cities in America.ā€

Why Plano Earned the #2 Spot
• Exceptionally low violent crime: Just 1.5 violent crimes per 1,000 residents, among the lowest nationwide.
• Very low property crime: Only 14.7 property crimes per 1,000 residents, placing Plano near the top of all large cities.
• Low traffic fatality rate: 6.9 deaths per 100,000 residents, another key factor in the city’s strong safety score.
• A true community effort: This recognition reflects the work of the Plano Police Department, engaged residents, city leadership, first responders, and our many community partners.
• Consistent excellence: Plano continues to earn national recognition for safety and quality of life across multiple independent studies.

While statistics tell part of the story, the real credit goes to the people who call Plano home. Safety is a community effort and something we build together every day. It reflects the daily work of our officers, the trust and partnership we share with residents, and the way neighbors look out for one another.

Thank you to everyone who helps make Plano a place where people feel secure, supported, and proud to call home.
