Emperor Divers is launching a new Southern Red Sea Family Adventure, a liveaboard itinerary created from the ground up to allow families of different ages and diving abilities to experience the Red Sea together.

The first departure will take place aboard Emperor Asmaa on August 21, 2027, with a seven-night itinerary combining diving, snorkelling, marine life encounters and educational activities.

Rather than adapting a traditional dive-focused liveaboard to accommodate children, Emperor has developed the schedule, route and activities specifically around families spending time together.

The itinerary will feature later starts, shorter sailings and mainly coastal dive sites, creating a more relaxed schedule than a traditional Red Sea liveaboard. Typically, there will be three dives per day rather than four, alongside regular opportunities for snorkelling and activities onboard.

For more than four decades, Jeff and Teri have helped shape diving in Kona, Hawaii through education, conservation, sustainable tourism and a deep commitment to their local community.

Their impact extends well beyond the dive shop. Through their work with the Malama Kai Foundation and Hawaii’s Day-Use Mooring Program, they have helped protect coral reefs by giving dive boats and other vessels an alternative to dropping anchors on sensitive reef environments.
