Bottle feeding is a skill, not a behavior. đź’™
When a baby struggles to take a bottle, it doesn’t mean they’re being stubborn, spoiled, or refusing on purpose.
Just like breastfeeding, bottle feeding is a learned skill.
It requires:
🍼 Different oral muscles
🧠New coordination
⏳ A different pace of feeding
Some babies learn quickly, while others need more time, practice, and the right support.
Instead of focusing on “getting them to take a bottle,” focus on helping them build the skills needed. Small, positive practice sessions are often more effective than pressure or forcing a feed.
If your baby is having a difficult time with bottle feeding, you’re not alone. With the right approach, most babies can learn.
We’re here to help your family meet your feeding goals. 💕
