The criminal fears a victim who can turn the criminal into prey.

Kansas couldn’t be bothered to back up their own law when two of their citizens took advantage of a state law that was specifically designed to enable this activity.

So it’s really good to see this corrected.

To put it in context, imagine if the Feds just randomly busted some recreational ma*****na users in say New Jersey where such a thing is legal by state law, but still technically illegal federally.

Yes the Feds do have supremacy and all that but it just strikes me as interesting how the Feds didn’t prosecute recreational MJ users but yet when it comes to someone possessing a pipe and keeping it within the bounds of a state, they flipped out.

In positive news it seems the tide is turning and we will be able to look back at this as a sad footnote in 2A history. 😎

After years of felony records hanging over two Kansans who trusted their own state’s Second Amendment Protection Act, this is finally fixed.
Full and unconditional pardon for Shane Cox and Jeremy Kettler. No more federal felony convictions for manufacturing and possessing items that Kansas law explicitly authorized within state borders. The judge even recognized at sentencing that they acted in good faith reliance on that statute—yet the convictions stood until now.
Thank you, President Trump, for using the pardon power the way it was meant to be used: correcting an injustice that never should have happened. This one was long overdue.

Tate got his pardon!

Tate Adamiak endured what amounts to political persecution. His convictions under the Biden administration were premised on major factual misrepresentations by the government and had significant constitutional infirmities, as we recently argued in an amicus brief in his favor. Our investigative journalism project, led by Lee Williams (SAF.org/category/ijp/ ), covered Adamiak's plight relentlessly, with dozens of articles published about it. We are overjoyed that he has finally received the pardon he deserves.
