⚠️ Storm Recovery Update – Please Use Caution ⚠️

City crews continue to respond to storm-related damage throughout Parkville following last night’s severe weather.

The following roadways remain closed due to downed trees and power lines:

• Crooked Road at Bluff Drive/River Hills (see update below)
• Bell Road south of 63rd Street, near 61st Street

Crews are working closely with Evergy to safely clear these areas and reopen the roadways as quickly as possible.

🚨 Please stay away from all downed power lines. Always assume a downed line is energized and dangerous, even if it is not sparking or moving. Keep yourself, your family, pets, and vehicles well away from any downed lines and report them immediately.

Additionally, a portion of the Riverfront Trail east of English Landing Park, near Ball Equipment and the Missouri River Boaters Association, will be temporarily closed Monday morning, June 15, while a storm-damaged tree is removed. Follow Parkville Parks & Recreation for updates.

Thank you to our Public Works, Police, Fire, and utility crews for their quick response. We also appreciate residents’ patience and cooperation as cleanup efforts continue.

** ATTN: power is back on!**

Due to last night’s storms, Zona Rosa is currently experiencing a power outage. Evergy is aware of the issue and is working to restore power as quickly as possible.

At this time, all Zona Rosa buildings are without electricity, and most stores and restaurants will remain closed until power is restored.

We’ll share updates as they become available. In the meantime, we hope everyone stays safe and enjoys a beautiful Sunday. ☀️

Thank you for your patience and understanding. 💙
