Writing my story is harder than I expected.

I’ve worked so hard to move forward, to heal, to understand what happened without allowing it to define me. But there’s something different about putting it all on paper.

Every sentence asks me to go back.

I’m not just remembering what happened. I’m remembering the room. The sounds. What I was thinking. What my body felt like. The version of me who didn’t yet understand what was happening to her.

And some days, writing it feels like reliving something I fought really f*cking hard to move past.

I know why I’m telling this story. I know there may be a woman who reads it someday and recognizes herself in my words. That matters enough to me to keep going.

But tonight, I don’t need to be told how strong I am.

Tonight, I think I just need a hug. 🫤

I had an interesting debate today that made some people uncomfortable who were present. 1. I was told I could not possibly speak to the dead. 2. I could not understand God because I have not seen nor bore the same burden as someone else. 3. There will be a reckoning for those who go against the One True God. And do you know my response?

I can.
I do understand.
I love you anyway.

And I said, if the Devil you speak of and Jesus were here in front of you, I would tell them both the same.

And then I asked a simple question. If Jesus were here, telling you the same words that I am speaking. Would you speak your same words?

How do you correct what is wrong with the world, I asked. And I answered for him. You show them a different way. I placed a hand on his heart, and then the side of his face and said, YOU are so loved. I hugged him and loved him despite his different point of view, and I left.

I showed him a different way.

I see your understanding.
I acknowledge where you are.
I love you anyway.
