In KPGR's 50 year history, there have only been three station managers: Jim Starr, Van Bulkley, and Russ Mayo.

Following the station’s early beginnings, Russ Mayo stepped in to lead KPGR from 2001 to the present. As a former DJ himself, he has continued to grow the station while supporting student DJs and expanding its reach. Take a look back at the chapter that continues to keep KPGR moving forward.

In KPGR’s 50 year history, there have only been three station managers: Jim Starr, Van Bulkley, and Russ Mayo.

Following the station’s early beginnings, Van Bulkley stepped in to lead KPGR from 1986 to 2001. During his time, he continued to grow the station while supporting student DJs and strengthening its identity. Take a look back at the chapter that kept KPGR moving forward.

Huge thanks to 2002 KPGR President, Jessica Morgan, who caught our mistake on the date of the 50 Years of KPGR celebration that we posted yesterday. The true date is May 6th at 5:30pm at Pleasant Grove High School. We will be doing Dinner with socializing with an open mic. Then we will have our formal celebration in the auditorium with Jim Starr, Bill Gillman, Stories of Van Bulkley and Russ Mayo. Old School!

Tickets are in our bio and can also be found on the PGHS Website under Tickets.
