TODAY...Showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then partly
cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely in the afternoon.
Some thunderstorms may be severe in the morning. Locally heavy
rainfall possible in the morning. Highs in the upper 70s. East
winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the north 5 to 10 mph in the
afternoon. Chance of rain 90 percent.TONIGHT...Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 50s. North winds 5 to

ATASCOSA...WILSON...BEXAR AND SOUTHEASTERN COMAL COUNTIES UNTIL 645
AM CDT...

At 548 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a large cluster of strong
thunderstorms across much of Atascosa, Wilson, and Karnes Counties.
These are moving north at around 25 to 30 mph. Hail up to the size
of nickels and winds up to 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
San Antonio, New Braunfels, Schertz, Seguin, Cibolo, Universal City,
Live Oak, Pleasanton, Selma, Gonzales, Floresville, Luling,
Jourdanton, Poteet, Kenedy, Karnes City, Poth, Yorktown, Charlotte
and Stockdale.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 AM CDT for
south central Texas.

The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
Atascosa County in south central Texas...

* Until 845 AM CDT.

* At 546 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pleasanton, Jourdanton, Poteet, Charlotte, Christine, Campbellton,
Lytle, Leming, Iuka, Kyote, Fashing, Davis, Coughran, Peggy,
Dobrowolski, Amphion, Espey, McCoy, Rossville and Hindes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

At 526 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Leming, or near
Poteet, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

At 443 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Zella, or 16 miles northwest of Tilden, moving northeast at 40 mph.

Nickel size hail will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Pleasanton, Jourdanton, Poteet, Charlotte, Christine, Goldfinch,
Bigfoot, Kyote, Davis, Coughran, Dobrowolski, Amphion and Hindes.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 AM CDT for
