When a Pleasantville couple approached us about our project needs, we had no idea they had plans to show such generosity. When they came to tell us that they wanted to pay for the entire cost of our exterior doors and windows, a nearly $35,000 order, we were overjoyed. You may have noticed that the windows are in, but the doors are on the way. We are so grateful!

Here is what this couple, who has asked to remain anonymous, wanted us to share with you:

“Supporting the Pleasantville Youth Initiative has been a passion for us ever since they were founded. When you spend time with the leadership you quickly discover both the need in our community as well as the fierce determination of the staff to make a difference in the life of every young person in our wonderful, little but mighty town. What PvilleYI has accomplished without a facility is nothing short of amazing but what they will be able to do with the carefully designed building, once finished, will be life changing for so many now and for generations to come. We are no different than anyone else. It’s always easy to think about what else we could do with the money for personal gratification but we are blessed to share what God has provided us so that it can be used to bless others.”

If you would like to talk to us about giving toward our project or to our general budget, you can reach us any time. Email [email protected] with any questions about giving to PvilleYI!

Love this act of generosity!!

THANK YOU to everyone who brought non-perishable items to the ACHIEVE Scrimmage last week as part of the state-wide . Thanks to your generosity, we were able to donate all collected items to the Pleasantville Food Pantry during this season of giving.

God, help us to do good, so much good that we are known not for how much money we have or for how popular we are or for our talent or abilities, but for the amount of GOOD we do for those around us. Give us generous hearts this season! Let’s make generosity the new trend in Pleasantville!

Giving without expecting anything in return isn’t as easy as it sounds. But when we give like this, we show the kind of kindness and abundant love that God shows us. 💜 Help us make generosity a trend in Pleasantville this season! Share about a time someone showed you generosity. Use these hashtags and tag us, we will share your story!

🎄Time to give back to our community.🧡🖤

It is a passion of the elementary to help stock the Pleasantville Food Pantry for the holiday season. We will begin Monday December 1st, and end Friday morning December 19th. Each day of the week has a grade assigned to it with an item to be donated. Make sure to check carefully as each grade has atleast two days, plus an ALL grades day of donations. This year kids will take all donated items to their classrooms as we're partnering with
Ms. Lacquement and Ms. Kiewiet and adding a little challenge. The class that brings in the most donations will earn an extra recess in January. If you have any questions, please message the PTO page or email us at [email protected]. Thank you and have a wonderful holiday season.
