I am having the darndest time... I let my previous webhost subscription expire before finding one I liked better. They jacked up the price and there were too many fee tiers associated with it. To compound it all, companies today only want to assist you via chat, email or using Ai... Ugh for a Gen Xers like me that is George Jeston level stuff. Am on my third company trial now, but I think I found a new home for my website. However, I learned that a domain registery and a web host are two different animals! So unless I can unlock my domain, I may have to compromise my brand a bit... 😞

This is a long video, and it could be a yawner for many, but I think it is so important anyway. In all my years of education, I never heard the team "cognitive friction" used to emphasize this concept. However, It is handy and precise. I always say that adults are no longer reading because the children, increasingly, are not taught to do it. How, then, can one expect a book selling enterprise to have a future?
Insist that your kids can read on grade level and make sustained reading a family custom.

The data suggests we could be moving toward a post-literate society...
