The 46th Annual Maynard Pioneer Days is scheduled for September 17-19.

September 17 will be school night. Maynard Public Schools will perform on the main stage and will have booths for fundraisers.

All IACS parents are invited to a parents meeting on August 27 at 3:30 p.m. Items to be discussed will be joining PTO, fundraisers, hat day, snack cabinet and a silent auction. The meeting will be held at the school.

Congratulations to Emma Bergman on being chosen as BRTC’s 2026 Outstanding Alumni!

Since graduating from BRTC, Emma has launched multiple agriculture and retail businesses. She has The Little Blue Market, a local farmers market and cafe; Knotts Creek Farms, a Vital Farms egg contractor; and Bergman Farms, a livestock and hay operation managed alongside her husband.

Town of O’Kean Community Game Night begins at 6 p.m. at the O’Kean Community Center.

September 12:

Black Rock Community and BRHS Alumni Banquet. Doors open at 2 with a meal served at 5 p.m. re- ticket sales, call Sarah Hoffman at 870-637-2414.

4th Annual CASA Champions for Kids Gala. Begins at 5 p.m. at the James Ranch.

September 17-19:

Maynard Pioneer Days at Maynard Pioneer Park.

BRTC Foundation’s 33rd Annual Golf Tournament at Rolling Hills Country Club.

The Pocahontas School District offers a complimentary VIP pass to its senior community members who continue to support our school and students in attending athletic events. Eligible members need only be 55 years young and live in the Pocahontas School District.

To get your pass, stop by the Administration building between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. any day school is in session. We appreciate your continued support and love to see you in the stands cheering for the Redskins!

VIP passes are also offered to military personnel, both active and veteran. As always, we thank you for your service to our country.
