The River Cities Tribune & Register, located in the beautiful Ohio Valley, is the combination of the Gallipolis Daily Tribune, The Daily Sentinel in Pomeroy, and the Point Pleasant Register. These are published twice a week on Tuesday and Friday as well as online 24/7 at wvnews.com. Meigs County is part of the tri-county region with Mason County, W.Va., and Gallia County, Ohio. All three counties border the historic and beautiful Ohio River.

THE ROTARY TROPHY IS COMING BACK TO POINT PLEASANT.

The Big Blacks take down their rivals 35-17 to win the Battle of the Bridge.

POINT UP AT THE HALF

The Big Blacks take a 22-11 lead headed into the locker rooms, scoring two touchdowns in under 30 seconds in the second quarter.

One of these touchdowns include the included clip: a 15-yard touchdown pass from Khileel Bryant to Ean Wasonga.

The Blue Devils did find the end zone with 90 seconds left in the half, cutting the Point lead down to 11.

It’s almost time for the Battle of the Bridge!

The Gallia Academy Blue Devils will host the rival Point Pleasant Big Blacks in what may be their last season at Memorial Field.

Gallia Academy won last year’s matchup 28-21 in Point Pleasant.
