The Tammy and Jimo Show Unlimited alternative radio Not the kind of show your going to hear on any of the commercial stations. Think more old school ksan style f.m. in 2008.

Adrienne Pfeiffer, Jimo Thomas and Fennel Skellyman are the hosts of "What's New with Jimo and Friends", which happens every 4th Tuesday of the month at 2PM-4PM (PST) on kwmr.org or on the local FM signal in Marin and Sonoma counties. We are part of the "What's New" team and bring you newly released music, from alt folk, to new dance music with a hearty dose of local and independent artist. combi

ned with college radio; a freeform, funky eclectic mix, we hope will turn you on to music you haven't heard of. Our friends and listeners are a big part of the show, as so many of them either make music themselves, d.j., are music critics, or are as obsessed with music as we are. Adrienne Pfeiffer (aka Tammy) has been a long time radio personality in the North Bay, including winning the title of Best North Bay D.J. She is an accomplished singer/songwriter with her own band "pink sabbath" as well as the "snake oil saviors" She is the creator of the beloved "far west fest" summer musical festival in Point Reyes Station, which has featured artists, from Camper Van beethoven, Sean Hayes, Lyrics Born and a huge host of others. She also booked "The Woods" in mill valley (the new sweetwater) and was instrumental in the process for the (soon to be) rebirth of this beloved club. Jimo is a former Bolinas resident who edited the Bolinas Hearsay News (with joanne kyger) during his years in west marin. He currently resides between Mill Valley, California, and the Salmon Creek area of Bodega Bay in Sonoma county, with yearly jaunts to Chicago. He was also a singer in the Bolinas band "music for pets". As a lifetime music ju**ie, Ms. Pfeiffer persuaded him to host a radio show with her one time about 8 years ago. He has been at it ever since. He also served as a host of the Sweetwater open mic. with Heather Combs. When he's not spinning discs, he can be found archiving his former bands work, his own solo music, writing poetry, gardening, or scaring his neighbors playing his old etsey pump organ lit by candlelight, with a half empty bottle of wine at the ready.

Sweetwater Friends & Family!!

The Sweetwater is excited to honor Austin de Lone, the legendary musician, who has played all over the country and around the world for many years, and has been a stalwart supporter of the Sweetwater from the very beginning. Austin is going to hang up his rock ’n’ roll shoes, but has one more party up his sleeve to which you are invited! Please come and pay tribute to Austin and his many musical companions as we toast and roast him on January 8.

All are welcome but donations are encouraged. 100% of the proceeds will go the to De Lone Fund via Sweet Relief Musicians Fund .

It may be a confusing romantic time, but I'm still getting the love from one ginger and a certain smoldering brunette, my friends Jenni Muldaur and Teddy Thompson.
I'm probably wearing out my vinyl copy, but it's worth it, ( and saves $ on other ways of distracting myself😂)
This record covers some classic country songs, but it's of a piece. It's sad. It's sexy. It's sung so beautifully the country angels are weeping. Teddy has always reached my romantic soul...(maybe it's an Aquarius thing!) and Jenni Muldaur, she's my soul sister from way back. Together, they have always been a revelation. You can feel the love.
The last track should be a straight up hit. It rocks. It rolls, it'll soothe your wild heart soul.
I want to go picking berries with the two of them!😂

Love and respect Nels and his perspective on Jeff Beck. High praise indeed.

As a "senior", a "Boomer", a guitarist and lover of sound, I have weathered my grief as so many great artists whom I admire have died and, not being a genuine "social media" participant, have been silent. So many. So sad, yet so inevitable, yes... But I must, with all my heart, express my deep love and respect for the great Jeff Beck on this evening, upon learning of his passing. Jeff Beck LIT ME UP when I was in my early teens and he was in The Yardbirds, then beyond with his early Groups, all his various and varied projects. He represented true excitement on guitar, with sound, with tone, with The Blues, with ROCK. An ORIGINAL and outstanding voice that always straddled gritty/greasy/sexy and SUBLIME. As he progressed (important word here), he eschewed major rock stardom and instead embraced primarily instrumental, improvisational music (okay, some call it "fusion") and - crucially - never stopped growing, exploring. He, unlike any of his generation that I can think of, grew and grew and grew and developed a PROFOUND LANGUAGE on the guitar that is/was all his own. Jaw-dropping, inspiring, soaring forever forever forever.... Just had to say. I am so, so sad right now, but also want to scream JEFF BECK RULES!!! as loud as I can. All possible love to his family, friends, and fans. XO

Amazed to see it's been 8 years since the last The Tammy and Jimo Show. Thank you Adrienne Pfeiffer for such a good run and for the inimitable KWMR radio station. Such stations are few and far between.
For fans of Tammy ( Ms Pfeiffer) she is killing it in the film industry and bringing in sustainability to production, as she did for the Far West Fest.

thanks all of you "Tammy and Jimo" friends, as well as those who joined me with Fennel Skellyman and our other wonderful guest host. I am taking a hiatus for now, but may serve as a guest host from time to time on Kwmr. I so appreciate the artists and listeners ( and Kwmr!) for supporting this show.
