I got baptized today!! This is the day I’ve been looking forward to since I was 18 years old. 🥹

I got baptized when I was 12 years old. Following my baptism I endured many hardships that had me questioning the goodness of God. I questioned if He loved me and if He really was there to protect and care for me. I had many doubts that I chose to completely reject my belief in Him. I started living for the world and I was consumed by sin. Even though I didn’t admit it at the time I was extremely depressed, broken, and searching for anything to fulfill me.

When I turned 18 I chose to go to a church service that changed my life forever. I encountered Jesus and His very real unconditional love for me. He reminded me that even though I had rejected Him he never left my side. He healed me from the inside out and I rededicated my life to Him during that service.

For the last 5 years I went back and forth on if I should get re-baptized. Yesterday I celebrated my 23rd birthday, and I decided that I wanted to do nothing more than to make this public declaration through baptism. A symbol of the cleansing Jesus had done spiritually in me that night when I was 18.

For anyone reading this I pray that you would know how much Jesus loves you. So much so that He made the biggest sacrifice to pay a debt that none of us could pay. I pray that you would seek Him and see that He is good. God bless!
