We met on March 11th 2 years ago! Rachel .ak had just returned from Hawaii and she recognized me from one of my apparel brands on Insta!
She came up and asked if I was that guy she followed! Annnnd, our friendship was born! From that day when she wore the sundress from Hawaii to this year 2 years later, when we went to Hawaii together complete with that same dress!… to now when our regular lives involve adventures mostly in southcentral Alaska just living life, it’s been an awesome couple years and I couldn’t imagine life without her by my side!

Full backstory… Rachel .ak and I met back in 23 at a wedding and before that, had followed each other on Instagram… fun fact, she found me first on the gram in 22 and I remember following her posts in Hawaii that winter.

So we started hanging out and developing our amazing friendship… which built a foundation for later. Each of our marriages ended for their own separate reasons, and we quickly realized our deep friendship was the base for something much more. We’ve each had big fallout from former friends who judged us without knowing the full story. This post isn’t to get into that, but to celebrate what God brought together.

As our relationship grew, we balanced everyday life with the blended fam life (6 kids), juggled finances and legal fees, dealt with drama and opposition, clung to our faith, made time for adventuring, and dreamed together about the future. We truly healed together and became newer versions of ourselves together! 🥹

I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this girl! We both talked about getting married and I actually initially proposed in a simple way at home. Flashback… on an earlier trip to Hawaii that just Rachel went on, she was getting looks from guys and I wanted her to know I loved her… so I had her buy a simple ring from a tourist shop there and I reimbursed her for it. I know, cheesy but hey it’s what I did. 🥹😂 Later that year I asked her to marry me with that simple ring symbolic of her Hawaii trip and my expression of love for her back then. Another little twist… we lost that ring this last summer! 😂 So we together replaced it with another simple ring from an Alaska summer market.

Now here’s the deal guys… I knew that she needed a more proper ring and more of an actual proposal, and that was coming. We’re climbing out of complete poverty and restarting our lives from complete scratch so I wanted to pledge my love in this more simple way first and then COMPLETELY SURPRISE her with an actual proposal later! 😱

Well it took some time to pull off because my plan involved Hawaii (we both LOVE Hawaii) and it seemed the perfect spot…. cont in comments… ⬇️⬇️

I LOVE the adventure life!! It’s one of the things that brought .ak and me together… and we LOVE seizing the day and embracing life as one big adventure! 🤘❤️

One of the things we love to do is spur of the moment trips right here in our own state. This can be hiking, camping, heck shopping, or just a drive… OR in this case a last minute rental in a nearby town! 🏠

After a quick search, we booked this cool little escape in the outskirts of Wasilla, Alaska only about an hour away from Anchorage. It truly was an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life complete with an awesome mountain backdrop ambiance and a hot tub! We loved the modern farm mountain chalet esque vibe inside and out! 🏔️

This is what we do to remember the importance of slowing down in life, staying connected as a couple, and making memories in this adventurous place we call home! So even if you can’t go on some big trip or adventure, look for smaller opportunities like this one where you can affordably get away for a little adventure! 💯

My recent adventures with Alaska! Seeing Anchorage from a different perspective with all the local food and people here keeps giving me a fresh appreciation for this place I now call home! 🏔️

These places don’t have insta accounts, but the Burrito Factory makes amazing breakfast burritos! 🌯 has the BEST slushies with the lowest prices! The Mekong Pho in Mountain View (east side) has amazing Thai, Laos, Vietnamese food, and KFC serves up your staple chicken favs!

Oh and I gotta make it fun with some Christmas light action too! 🎄😂

I think I’ll keep posting more content from my delivery adventures. Follow along for more of my epic adventure life! 🤘

Find that freaking summit and don’t give up until you reach it. If you’re new to following me, just know that mountains are a big deal for me. Together with my love Rachel .ak , we seize the day and live this life to the fullest. We weren’t meant to just drift though this life, but to take it by the horns and make it the adventure it’s meant to be. 💪

I’m so thankful for her and how she challenges me to keep going. There are so many times I feel like coasting or just hanging out in valleys, but that dang summit isn’t going anywhere. That’s the goal. If you can’t tell by now, summits are literal but also figurative for life as well. 😱

The views from those ridge-lines are so epic, but the reality is the bulk of life isn’t lived up there. It’s lived in valleys and climbs. Take your life and make it work from that adventure perspective. Let that be your motivation and see how that mindset shift changes the way you do things. 🏔️

Rachel’s competition in Fairbanks, Alaska was lit! 🔥❤️ When you find a dream or a goal to chase, DO IT NO REGRETS.

Will it be hard? Undoubtedly.
Will there be opposition? Definitely.
Will some not understand? Unfortunately.
Will it add stress at home? Yup.
Will it change you? Certainly.

BUT—— DO IT! Run after it with everything you got! One day you’re going to look back and wonder was it really worth it? Did I really give it my all? 🤔

Get to the end of your life with ZERO regrets. This I’ve learned from my beautiful Rachel’s bodybuilding lifestyle. And after just getting back from her competition in Fairbanks, I’m even more blown away by it all. Her sport requires grit and determination. 💪

And after the height of competition, we got to enjoy tons of yummy food, the northern lights, and some other fun things like the North Pole! 🎅😜 My only thing I wish for the future is to get my boys to join in on the action too, but that time will come! 🙏

Even though we face some huge challenges elsewhere in our lives, we try to live this life with the limitless potential we’ve been blessed with. So, chase your goals with grit and passion!

Sometimes life throws goals your way that make you really dig deep. This journey that I’ve walked alongside Rachel on to her most recent bodybuilding competition was nothing short of amazing. 🤯

Good old fashioned blood, sweat, and tears fueled this. From the countless hours of meal prepping, to gym routines, to many many hours of working to pay for life and this journey to IPL’s Alaska competition… WE did it together. Grit and determination collide and fuel the seemingly impossible. 💪

All this was in my mind as I flew my drone and snapped some behind the scenes pics with my iPhone for Rachel’s photoshoot. 📸

Whatever your dream is… chase it with everything you got! And if you’re in a support role, support them with everything you got as well! There’s nothing you can’t accomplish if you set your mind to it and then take consistent action. 🤘

Soooo much work has gone into this!! We’re headed to Fairbanks for Rachel’s .ak bodybuilding competition with and WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

She gets to go off her nutrition plan this coming weekend after the competition… it’s a BIG deal! Now she’s an athlete by lifestyle so she’s right back on another plan in a few days, so we have a short window Fairbanks!!! 😱

Competition goes down on Saturday at the Pioneer Park Civic Center Theatre 11am - 5pm! Tickets for sale if you want to come support on ‘s site! 🎟️
