With the potential winter storm coming through we are monitoring conditions and will provide winter weather updates and potential weather nets for our area. We will use the GMRS repeaters to allow for non licensed FRS and scanner users to monitor as well. Stay tuned to 462.700 or channel 21 on your FRS radios.

..ACCUMULATING SNOW MONDAY EVENING 12/1/25 INTO TUESDAY 12/2/25...

Good evening folks. Here is our first stab at the next round of snow. I should note that model agreement is improving, and we may issue an updated graphic Monday morning or early afternoon. Key takeaways:

-A widespread 2-4 inches looks likely.
-1-3 inches in the far northwest due to lighter snow rates, and in the far south due to starting as rain/warmer temps.
-Models hint at two potential areas where banding could promote pockets of higher totals, inside the dashed areas.
-For the dashed area in west central and northern Ohio, a band could locally put down 5-7 inches, highest in the lake belts east of Cleveland, as a brief period of lake enhancement is possible there.
-For the dashed are in the south and east central parts of the state, a band could promote 4-6 inches locally.
-We are rating this MEDIUM confidence, as we are feeling good about the general outcome of widespread 2-4 inches. The area where we are lacking confidence is in where the heavier bands ultimately set up, or if they will even materialize.

Check back Monday afternoon for an updated map.

Next Sunday is our emergency communications training net. It will be held immediately after the regular net. If you would like to participate, here is what we will have for the exercise: watch the two videos attached. This is a "no fault" training net. Meaning no one expects perfection. We can practice this for passing official message Information to stations in the event of real emergencies. This format keeps the message unaltered and accurate to what the sender intended for the recipient. If you would like to receive a message via email to send to another station, please send an email to [email protected] to let us know. We will make sure you have ample time to have the message and prepare it for the net.
