📍 Les Cayes (Aux Cayes) is one of Haiti’s major cities and the heart of the Sud Department.

🌊 Located along Haiti’s beautiful southern coast, Les Cayes has long been an important center for agriculture, trade, culture, and Caribbean commerce.

🏝️ The region is known for its incredible coastline and its proximity to Île-à-Vache, one of Haiti’s most beautiful island destinations.

📜 Les Cayes also holds an important place in Caribbean history. In 1816, Simón Bolívar received critical Haitian support in Les Cayes before returning to continue the struggle for South American independence.

But Aux Cayes is more than history.

It’s the food.
It’s the music.
It’s the people.
It’s the culture.
It’s Haiti. 🇭🇹

And that same Haitian spirit is what we’re bringing to GRIOT FEST — a celebration of our food, music, history, and culture.
