At the IBMA, we are committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free environment for everyone—not just at our IBMA World of Bluegrass® events, but in all spaces, online and off, year-round.
Harassment of any kind—whether based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected status—is strictly prohibited. This includes inappropriate comments or gestures, unwelcome physical or verbal attention, and any behavior that makes others feel unsafe or unwelcome.
This policy applies to all attendees, staff, board members, volunteers, speakers, performers, sponsors, exhibitors, and all other participants. Violations may result in sanctions, removal from events without a refund, loss of membership privileges, or other actions deemed necessary by the IBMA to maintain a respectful and inclusive community.
Harassment is not tolerated in any space where our community gathers—including on social media. If you witness or experience harassment, we urge you to speak up. We're here to support and take action.
