The Power of Giving and Helping Others! The Ottawa County Community Foundation, Ohio awarded 33 grants to local non-profits this week. The Joy Roth Little Tiger Award was awarded to the Business Advisory Council. The award is given to the non-profit that goes above and beyond in the community. The Ottawa County Business Advisory Council (BAC) was established in the summer of 2014 as a means for business leaders and K-12 educational leaders to partner together to understand and support employment needs within Ottawa County. Additionally, the BAC aims to engage our youth in gaining a deeper understanding of the career opportunities available in their community. The Business Advisory Council helps local students get into skilled trades and the STNA program. The program plans to expand into the hospitality and tourism program this Fall. Congratulations to the Grant awardees. We look forward to continuing to highlight our local non-profits.
