When you arrive, follow the road up the hill. There will be volunteers there directing parking
Arrive, park your car, check-in at the campground
Check-in will take place at the campground (aka PJ Stone Challenge Base Camp)
Check-in is between 7:30am - 8:30am and closes PROMPTLY at 8:30am
At check-in, you'll have your rock weighed, receive your race bib and timing chip
DON'T BE LATE! If you show up after 8:30am, you will have to carry your rock down the hill too!
Before the race, we have more challenges and ways to test your strength for prizes!
And then, let the fun begin! Race starts at 9:00am.
NOURISHMENT:
Foundy42 will be on tap with delicious coffee and hot cocoa
We’ll have snacks and drinks for runners provided by ShopRite
And be sure to bring along a few bucks so you can grab something yummy from the UP IN SMOKE FOODTRUCK
THE RULES:
All racers MUST carry a stone.
Stones must be carried using your body only! (No straps, cables, bags, nets, etc.) That's why it’s a challenge!
Minimum stone weight is 5 lbs.
Naturally formed stones only
DECORATE YOUR STONE! You'll have to pick your stone out of a line-up of 100+ others. You surely want to have it stand out so it's easy to find!
Junior Racers (12 and under) must be accompanied by an adult during the race. The adult does not need to carry their own stone and CANNOT carry the racer's stone.
Racing starts at 9am and runners will be launched in waves
There is a 2-hour time cap for the race
CLOSING CEREMONIES:
When everyone has finished, we celebrate!
Closing ceremonies will be at approximately 11:00am
Three medals will be awarded for each race (The Challenge & The Provocation) in each category (Juniors, Women, Men)
