Floridian View Magazine will live on as a reminder of what a great place this is to live, work and play. We saw an audience hungry for substance and valuable content, exquisite images and the latest info on places to go, things to do and people to watch. Here are a few of our favorite covers over the years.

We were proud to focus on the amazing arts scene in our community, and we even focused entire issues on local artists and some of the impressive juried art shows that bring craftsmen and artisans from across the country to Volusia County each year.

REAR VIEW: Floridian View’s Final Page

It started with a vision, and the vision became the View. . . Floridian View. For over two years, East Central Florida has allowed us into your homes, offices, newsstands and lives. And we’ve sought to find and bring to you the best in features, homes, fashions, trends, lifestyle and commentary. We started a couple of trends of our own, like the Power List. And since we were unencumbered by corporate greed and policy, we were free to try some new slants, make changes when we felt like it and present a fresh look at life and how we Floridians live it.

So you can imagine, after this much effort, investment, toil and trouble, what a difficult decision it was to close the covers on this publication. Numerous circumstances contributed to this conclusion, such as rising expenses and unsustainable costs. But it certainly wasn’t due to lack of commitment and the desire to continue.

To our advertisers, we appreciate your loyalty and hope that we’ve contributed as much to your endeavors as you did to ours. To our readers and subscribers, thanks for inviting us in and making us welcome. We like to think that past issues will remain with you as a fond reminder of what is possible when a small group of thinkers have a big dream. After all, that's how NASCAR and Bike Week evolved and why the drive to break speed records made our town the World’s Most Famous Beach. So don't let anyone steal your dreams.

We will miss sharing our Floridian View with you.

Fondest regards,
Floridian View Magazine
The Floridian View Team
