Client Mood Board & Decor Plan done ✅ and ready for presentation!

Client has existing wall art, some family-sentimental decor items, majority of the furniture and a funky rug she loves!

Her style is contemporary, mid-century modern and a bit traditional ✨ She loves original wall art and pops of color. She wanted me to decorate around that, help her figure out a color palette, a functional layout, add storage (since she has kids) & bring everything together harmoniously with a small budget 👌🏽

She cannot afford a full premium Interior Decor service, which is why she chose our Mood Board service, we facilitate the ideas, plan & shopping list so she can decorate herself !

What inspired me to switch from Modern/Glam decor to Mediterranean & bohemian style 🤎

It definitely was Italy’s architecture, especially in Positano, captivated me with its exposed brick, abundant stone, and enchanting arches – I had that ‘THIS IS IT’ moment. Since then, I started recognizing the vast opportunities in design. I advocate for decorating authentically rather than blindly following trends because your home should reflect you, not social media. My own home lacked character due to trend-driven decor, leading to regret and wasted money 🥲. If you’re struggling with finding your style, pause and reflect. Before investing in renovations, explore diverse spaces – outdoors, neighborhoods, hotels, museums. Your perfect style is out there; take the time to discover it. And remember, decorating and renovating are marathons, not sprints. 🫶🏽

DIY of the day 🖤

I’m transitioning my house from modern/glam to Bohemian/Neutral organic. These gold mirrors I have in the bedroom needed a makeover. I thought about buying new ones but instead I gave them new life. I already love the shape, the only thing in the way was the color. So I just painted themwith black furniture paint. 🤩 Sometimes paint is the answer!

A follower on TikTok asked me: "What is the difference between a house and a home?"

This was my response: "The house is only the structure. Home refers to the cozy feeling, when you live in a home the space reflects your personality and you love living in your house. You can live in a house but it doesn’t necessarily feel like a home." 🤎

Reflecting back to when I started decorating my brand new house that "didn’t need any renovations because it was new". And I get sentimental! 🥹 Before I started redecorating, I was falling out of love with my house. I felt like I didn’t belong in it if that makes sense. Why? Because the space didn’t reflect my personality, it was just a house with no character. Today I can say that I love being at home and I continue to fall in love with it every day🤎
