Recently installed the MidlandUSA MXAT05VP 3DB Gain Highland Heavy-Duty Bullbar Antenna. I have the Midland MXT400 Micromobile Radio and wanted two things...That Front-mounted bullbar look and not having my antenna go over my roof-line. The rear mounted antenna I was using cleared the roof by 2 feet. Along with the GMRS radio, this antenna has been a great addition. It's sturdy and doesn't move much when traveling at highway speeds. It does move some, but not as much as I thought it would. I'd suggest considering MidlandUSA products when you are ready to upgrade.
