Help me like my engagement ring?
I told him 2 years ago I wanted a lab grown gemstone as I don't want him to spend a lot of money and this is still true today. We're on vacation and have been together 4 years and he proposed with this moissanite ring, and my first thoughts were how it's "too much". I don't really wear jewerly, besides small earrings, as I'm a really shy person, and I was looking forward to something simple.
The ring is too loose on my finger, but resizing should be an easy fix. But the main stone feels like it's too wide and sits too tall, and in general, there's a lot going on. He half-joked about selling it and buying a new one (mainly due to the ring size). But I want to like this and be proud of it because it's the one he chose for me and I want it to have sentimental value. Can you please help me change my mind.
