NY6 has donated another motorcycle to a Veteran who wishes to ride. This is the third bike we've built for Veterans. Mike Gaynor is an Army Veteran who unfortunately lost the ability to use his legs. This bike will be converted from two wheels to three with the ability for him to get on with his wheel chair!

Due to the lapse of appropriations, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) has been forced to cancel its Joint Field Activities (JFA) in Vietnam and Laos that were planned for late October through early December. The JFA in Laos consisted of three recovery teams and one investigation team, while the JFA in Vietnam consisted of two recovery teams and one investigation team, all of which cannot be deployed. Not affected by the lapse of appropriations are the two Vietnamese recovery teams, both of which will start operations next week. DPAA military and contractor personnel continue to advance the noble mission of providing the fullest possible accounting for U.S. missing personnel to their families and the nation.

Riders know this, but the general public may not be aware. If you have never been part of a benefit ride you should know at least this:
Bikers PAY to ride. Something they could do for free. But they choose to pay to ride, the fee can be anywhere between $10 to $20 or $30 per person. Not only do they pay to ride, they usually drop a lot of cash for the extras. Raffles, 50/50, and silent auctions, even Toy Runs for kids....
When you witness a group passing by, chances are they're riding for charity or noble causes! Instead of getting frustrated over traffic disruptions or minor delays, kindly bear in mind: They are exceptionally generous individuals!!!
Give them space and your patience. It sometimes helps to have a little reminder about things. So please be patient and smile when you see them because they are doing something good for someone you may know, or for a good cause. ❤️🙏
