This Christmas, I had the joy of traveling to NYC with my family, and we experienced what felt like the most perfect holiday! The weather was just right, and I saw snow for the first time. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony with a breathtaking view of the city skyline—those views alone added a few stars to our hotel rating!
We walked through Times Square, climbed the Empire State Building, and soaked in all the magic NYC has to offer. But one moment I was determined to create—and did—was bringing a copy of my book, *Daydreaming on Unpaved Streets*, to the Big Apple.
In my book, I share how I grew up in the shanty town of The Peas in Abaco, dreaming of a future where I could explore big cities like this. Standing there with my book in hand, surrounded by the energy of NYC, was a dream come true for my younger self. Even more special, I got to create these memories with my own children.
God is healing and nurturing me as He crafts moments that shape my children’s childhood—so vastly different from my own. I share this post to honor the generational curse breakers, the ones who defy the odds stacked against them.
As you live your dreams, keep dreaming new ones. As you walk new paths, keep carving trails for those who will follow. May God bless you and keep you in 2025!
