The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly – Portales Road Update 🚧
✅ The Good:
We’re making serious progress on roads that have been calling for attention! Fresh pavement is coming, and smoother drives are just around the corner.
💧 The Bad:
While working on 16th Street between I Street and San Juan Village, contract crews accidentally damaged some water lines. That caused a few leaks and slowed things down.
🔥 The Ugly (but kind of heroic):
Our City Water crews went full detective mode—literally crawling through flowing water and mud to find shut-off valves and stop further damage. Thanks to their quick work, the problem was located and fixed in record time! 👏
➡ What’s Next:
Wet conditions have slowed repairs along 16th Street, but with 15 feet of new water lines installed and the weather cooperating, road work will resume shortly. Thank you for your patience as we make Portales better—one street at a time! 🌟
