11:03AM Structure Fire, 1700 block of W. Putnam. Porterville Fire, assisted by TCFD and Cal Fire, responded to reports of smoke emanating from an apartment duplex. Upon arrival, fire personnel determined the fire was in the attic. Firefighters quickly located and extinguished the fire, preventing significant loss of the duplex.

11:00AM, Hit And Run Traffic Accident, Prospect and Morton. The suspect, who fled the scene, was quickly apprehended by PPD at a residence located in the 200 block of N. Walch. The victim suffered minor injuries. The suspect was transported and booked into SCDF for felony hit and run.
