The oldest business in the same location since establised and one of the very few long standing locally owned businesses in Porterville. Its a icon and landmark in our city! Originally opened in 1937, Mecca has been pouring drinks and keeping the public happy for OVER 85 years!!!! Currently under new ownership as of November 2022, the previous owners were the proprietors for 27 years. Locals descr

Our business hours are 9am-2am 7 days a week 365 days a year!! Mecca serves everything from bottled domestic and imported beers, to a HUGE variety of mixed drinks. We have 4 TV’s that are always showing local and national news, sports, and a variety of other programs. We have a pool table as well as a good old fashioned Shuffleboard table! The bartenders are always eager to serve and might even tell a story or two! If you find yourself in Porterville stop on in and have a cold drink! Bring cash or your ATM card, we do not accept credit or debit cards and be prepared to show ID since Mecca is a 21 and over establishment. We hope to see you soon!!

Everyone’s welcome — buy a drink and enjoy the full Thanksgiving spread we serve up every year. No dress code, no cooking, no passive-aggressive relatives asking “so how’s life?” Just MECCA, good food, and good humans.
