The last play in our anthology is Motherly Advice, by Rodney Rhoda Taylor. Mothers, carry us for nine month, birth us, raise us, and then think they can continue to give us advice and tell us how to live our lives, even when we don't ask for it.

Sam has recently proposed to James, but James has yet to give an answer because of their lost s*x tape? While looking for the tape with his sister, Diane their mother drops in for an unexpected visit, and finally meets Sam, the towel wearing future fiancƩ. By the end of the evening, they find the s*x tape, in an unexpected location and receive some helpful "advice" from mom.

The next play in our anthology is Wingman by Eli Effinger-Weintraub. Its the typical, mother, daughter relationship.

Deb, still smarting from a breakup, should know better than to take her mother Marian to the local le***an bar. But Marian's insistent, and she seems sincere, so, what could it hurt? Too bad Deb hasn't anticipated Marian taking over as queen of the bar stool and playing yenta for her poor, single daughter.

Naturally this sends Josh into a neurotic frenzy of fear that heā€™ll screw the relationship up and die alone. Our fourth play in , is Runaway by Charles Zito. Is the typical tale of someone thinking they are fooling the family, but do we really?

When he and his Mother disagree over his new boyfriend, Tommy runs away from home to his favorite Uncle in Manhattan. Uncle Tony is much less sympathetic than Tommy hoped for, but then Tony is hiding his own secret. Or at least he thinks he is. When his sister Rose arrives looking for her son, Tony discovers that the entire family already knows the truth and nobody cares. Certainly not Rose, who settles matters with her son and gives her brother some much needed perspective.
