🌺🍹✨ Get ready for an unforgettable day of fun, laughter, and tiki vibes! My fabulous friend and coworker is hosting us at her amazing 3000 square-foot tiki bar next month, and trust me, it’s a magical place straight out of Disneyland! 🌎🏖️

This is the perfect chance to bring your girlfriends, sisters, and all the wonderful women in our community. There’s no cap on space, so let’s fill it up with laughter and joy! 🎉💕

I know it’s a bit of a drive for some, but it’ll be SO worth it! We’ll have delicious food and yummy drinks so please RSVP ASAP. I need our numbers by Wednesday, September 17th.

🌺AUGUST VOLUNTEER EVENT🌺

Embrace Compassion is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization recognized since 2011, thriving through community support and volunteer efforts. Initially funded by personal sacrifices, we now receive support from business sponsorships, individual donors, grants, and local groups like the Tualatin Rotary. Our Farm Experience program serves children in cancer treatment and their families on 2.5 acres in Sherwood, where we grow food, offer gardening education, art projects, and create a safe community for children with low counts from chemotherapy.

With over 100 volunteers, we have cultivated a vibrant farm featuring 500+ dahlias, grapevines, blueberry shrubs, veggie garden boxes, and various animals, including goats and chickens.

Each month, we host 80-100 people for our Farm Experience Saturdays, helping families affected by cancer find respite and connection. We provide a nurturing environment for young children and support for parents navigating treatment and recovery.

To maintain our grounds sustainably, we depend on volunteers who help with various tasks. We also welcome individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build pre-employment skills. Together, we give away over 3,000 pounds of organically grown food each year, including our signature dahlia bouquets.

We invite everyone in this group to join Social Club PDX for a volunteer event on August 31 from 10 AM to 2 PM. We understand that mobility varies among individuals, so we will have jobs available, such as pulling weeds, that can be done while seated, along with other light duties that can also be performed sitting down. This is a wonderful opportunity for our female community to support local families affected by cancer.

There is a participation fee of $15, which will be collectively donated to the organization on that Sunday. Each volunteer will have the chance to create and take home a quart-sized jar filled with 10 to 15 beautiful dahlias. These stunning flowers will make a lovely centerpiece for your home or a thoughtful gift for someone special.

We need to park in the field on the right as we come down the driveway. We are not to drive inside the gate.

🥳Happy 53rd Birthday🥳

It’s my husband’s birthday today 🥳 If you’ve listened to our podcast about the various relationships I’ve experienced (including some not mentioned on the show), you know how crucial it is for me to share not just the difficult and messy ones, but also the truly amazing and safe relationships. This man has profoundly changed my life, and it’s incredible to think we met here on Instagram!

We met just before the world unraveled,
a fragile moment hanging between what was and what would become. Our first journey took place as Oregon closed its doors, a weekend when silence and fear settled over everything. We broke the rules, daring to love in a season of caution, when leaving our homes meant risking more than we knew.

Amidst the chaos, the uncertainties, we built something tender—kindness, respect, and love— a foundation that would reshape our lives. You entered my world as an independent soul, who had already raised his son into a man, who had friends, a good job, and a life with few burdens. Yet, you chose to leave that calm behind, to dive into my messy, complicated world— to love my three children as your own.

You traded quiet for noise, for seasons of teenagers pulling in every direction— and still, you stayed. My life has never been simple or quiet, but your love has been a steady force, a refuge in the storm, a promise kept amid the upheaval.

As an only child who raised an only one, you took a daring leap—creating a safe space, a place of protection, of respect, of steadfast support in our lives. If your parents could see you today, they’d be proud of the man you are, and I see it too— not perfect, but perfectly suited for me/us.

Your leadership inspires those around you,
pushing others to be more, to do more.
A loyal friend, a valued soul— life has tested us in recent years, but each challenge is shaping us, molding us into better versions— together, ready to face whatever comes next.
