Biodiversity is a sign of a healthy ecosystem. Pollinators, lizards, frogs, spiders, and snakes all play a part! Follow these tips to create safe spaces in your “wild” garden.
✅ frogs need to avoid the sun. Create a tiny shelter for them with rocks or a broken ceramic flower pot. Keep the spot shady and damp.
✅lizards like a messy garden. Keep a few leaf piles around and lots of shrubbery. This will help lizards hide from birds while snacking on mosquitoes and beetles.
✅ pollinators need water! We can’t all have a pond in our backyard, but we can create water sources using bee cups or shallow dishes. The nice thing about bee cups is they are designed for insect feet so our friends can crawl in and out easily. The water also evaporates by the end of the day to prevent mosquitoes.
✅No Chemicals! Ditch the pesticides and herbicides.
✅Plant more flowers! Everyone loves flowers, especially pollinators. www.bee-cups.com
