I’ve been up all night trying to find the words that could come close to describing the love , admiration and respect that I have for you Dan. You were my brother and my sister all in one. You are the inspiration that led me to where I am today musically. You were one of my closest and best friends, mentors and family members and was sooo lucky to have gotten to know you so well. Those of you who know me well know how much Dan meant to me . I knew how special he was and I did my best to introduce him to as many loved ones as I could so they could love up on him too. We’ve been through so much crazy s**t and always held space for each other and had each others back FULLY. We giggled on the phone for hours and carried on like childhood friends. We shared all of our music and had the exact same tastes which is super rare for me. We backed up each others music so we’d never lose our beloved tracks incase one of our computers crashed which happened often. I’m going to miss the hours of great conversation about music and things in the works. We had so much plans and collabs of music coming out that we were releasing together.You were always super excited about that. You are not only my favorite dj, but one of my favorite people too. You’ve cooked for my family at my home, were the best man in my wedding and a very loved member of my family. I always included you in everything I did because I knew you would bring the vibe that heals people and that’s so rare these days. You taught me sooo much and I only pray that I could be half as good a dj as you were. You believed in me when I second guessed myself and gave me the pushes I needed to keep going when i stumbled. There is a HUGE void in my heart and my life that can never be filled. We had a friendship that comes once in a lifetime and I’m honored to have gotten the chance to learn from a legend. I give you my word that I will play every set like your in the room and do my best to apply everything you taught me so I can carry on your legacy and do my best to keep that underground sound we love , goin strong. You will live forever through the music 🎵, and myself and many others will see to it.
I’m sooo thankful my newborn daughter Emrys got to meet her Auntie Dan before you left us. Our hearts melted at the same time as we choked back tears of joy. Now she has a guardian angel. I know your with GOD now, i don’t blame him for wanting you back home and he was generous leaving you with us as long as he did. Only GOD can provide a big enough closet for all your clothes. I cherished the prayers we shared, the music we made and the tracks we played. Save a slot in heaven for me when I get there fish, fair well for now. love you ❤️ and thank you so much for all the great memories and wisdom you shared with me. And thank you for allowing me to be your friend and accepting me for who I am.
