Well that was fun last Saturday... while I didn't bowl, I did play some laser tag and got to hang out with some very cool people, from quite young to older than myself. Bowlathon 2024 is a wrap and I didn't even have to do any Darth Vader Afrobeat dances this time around. Check out the pics that Amy Coffee and I took.

Last Saturday, the Faithful Friends community gathered at SuperPlay in Beaverton for our annual Bowl-a-Thon. Life is always an adventure. Sometimes things move along in one stream that takes multiple paths, as it has for me these past 3 years at Faithful Friends mentoring program. From two years as the p/t Communications Manager to f/t, briefly serving as Interim Executive Director before moving to my current role of Director of Operations (and Communications). While my work at Faithful Friends is not yet over, it may be winding down so I'm looking for other work opportunities to consider as I begin to find my way towards what may be next.

Back in January Faithful Friends began doing "hard hat tours" where we take our mentee kids to local businesses so they can learn about a career option. Our first corporate partner is Willamette Technical Fabricators. They make massive steel structures for huge projects. Hopefully some day we'll hear how a tour like this set the course of a child's future.

Let the Hard Hat Tours begin! In January we dropped in on Willamette Technical Fabricators to learn about large scale metal manufacturing.
