Tim Cowley I'm an energetic adventurer with a penchant for storytelling through documentary-style photography, video and podcasting.

Based in Portland (OR) but with a global mindset, I love coming alongside people and their projects to amplify their passions.

Back in Aug-Dec of 2025 I did some fractional work for my church, All Souls Anglican Portland and I really love how the flyer turned out! We're a small congregation under 100, but with ample room to grow.

I really enjoyed working with, and love the mission behind, The Language Hospitality Project. Led by two Portland-based change makers and educators Kristyn Kidney and Derek Chinn, they are taking this concept to churches throughout the country who want to be trained in how best to open their doors (and hearts) to those in their communities who don't speak English as their first language.

With this video project I was provided multiple zoom recordings and carefully crafted script input and asked to edit something together in both a short and longer version that is more interesting, inviting and engaging than that of a simple zoom video format. https://www.languagehospitality.com/about

I've started working on a storytelling project for my church, All Souls Anglican Portland, where I interview a few folks and share a bit about their background and what drew them to the Anglican way and to All Souls. First up is our new (and only) Deacon -- Bob.

I'm excited to share my latest video featuring my friends Noah and Laurel who attend All Souls Anglican Portland in Oregon. It has been such a joy to dive deeper into the backgrounds of those we have come to know and love in our community and attempt to bring that story to life in a small way.

Well that was fun last Saturday... while I didn't bowl, I did play some laser tag and got to hang out with some very cool people, from quite young to older than myself. Bowlathon 2024 is a wrap and I didn't even have to do any Darth Vader Afrobeat dances this time around. Check out the pics that Amy Coffee and I took.

Last Saturday, the Faithful Friends community gathered at SuperPlay in Beaverton for our annual Bowl-a-Thon. The event was a combination of a fundraiser and a community building activity, bringing together mentor/mentee families and friends of the ministry. With a turnout of 130 attendees, the event

I've been a mentor now for a little over a year. Even though we aim for weekly meetups, I can say we've barely scratched the surface. It feels like mentoring is certainly the long game, and in this story Chon shares about a recent wedding he attended that speaks to the long game goals mentoring is all about...

Back in January Faithful Friends began doing "hard hat tours" where we take our mentee kids to local businesses so they can learn about a career option. Our first corporate partner is Willamette Technical Fabricators. They make massive steel structures for huge projects. Hopefully some day we'll hear how a tour like this set the course of a child's future.

Let the Hard Hat Tours begin! In January we dropped in on Willamette Technical Fabricators to learn about large scale metal manufacturing.
