For those who didn’t watch the YouTube video, here’s just a tease of the insane records I brought back from Japan. Our next collab with will be on May 25th and it’ll be the debut of these records (plus many more) before our 4-Year on the 31st. Limited to 20 tickets (each ticket comes with a glass of wine) — they go on sale tomorrow so keep an eye. This is going to be another amazing event and the last one sold out super fast so don’t sleep 👀

Birthday Trip 2026 to Japan was glorious. A wonderful whirlwind through the country full of many styles of egg, fish, and endless sweets. Polite (but aggressive) deer, old friends, new friends, and a top tier travel partner. Hours and hours of digging through bins left me with a huge stack of gems for my collection and for YOU, Portland! Stay tuned for a YouTube video teasing some of what I got, and how YOU can get your hands on it.

We will be back tomorrow, May 2. We love you and are grateful for your support!

A few months ago, the very talented .photopdx did a photoshoot at the shop, and captured it in a way that I feel like no one really has yet. Looking at these pictures gives me a huge sense of pride about how far we’ve come since 2022. I wanted to open a record store that I would want to go to as a long time collector. Spacious, full of clean used records, loads of rarities on the walls, aesthetic art and collectibles everywhere you look, a chill listening station area to just vibe on the couch or listen to the records you found, and a place for local artists to share their music with their community, and ours. As we are speeding towards the 4-Year celebration on May 31st, I can’t help but feel hopeful and excited for the future of TMR, and grateful to everyone who has supported us over the years. It’s always a weird feeling meeting record collectors in town at events and shows who haven’t heard of Too Many Records, or who haven’t made the time yet to check it out. Honestly, though, that just makes me stoked for when they finally do discover us and join the ranks of the first time customer turned regular 🙏🏻 — stay tuned for info on the anniversary celebration!

Uh… surprise? Stay tuned. 🤘🏻
Drop a comment with what you want me to look for (genres/albums) and I’ll do my best.

Another amazing Record Store Day in the books. We are living proof that you don’t NEED to drown yourself in overpriced and hard to sell titles from a list to allow your store to be celebrated. We love our community so much, and we’ve spent years cultivating beautiful relationships with so many customers, turned regulars, turned friends. We have always aimed to be a third space, a place for people to gather and play / talk about music, and Saturday was a wonderful reminder of that. Thank you to everyone who came by and snagged some grails or some classics, the store was full and the vibes were terrific all day and we are so grateful to every one of you. We now will be setting our sights on OUR biggest event of the year, our (4-Year!) anniversary. Stay tuned for what we have planned…

For those who don’t want to watch a YouTube video (although you should because I showed even more..) here’s a tease for our offering this Record Store Day. Our holy grail wall will be completely swapped out (75 spots!) — and we will be putting out 50 Brazilian records (!!) and 50 soundtracks. And, as always, we’re doing a sale on the store. $10 off grails, 10% off bins, and snag 8 of our $5 records for just $20!! - We open at noon, but if you see anything you want (or trust in that the stuff we aren’t showing…) I’d consider lining up! See you Saturday!

This Saturday, when we open at noon, we will have quite the showing for our PDX community. Our whole rare wall will be swapped out for wild stuff we’ve been saving just for Record Store Day (75 spots!) — and we will be putting out 50 Brazilian records (!!) and 50 soundtracks. Not only that, we’re doing a sale on the store. $10 off grails, 10% off bins, and snag 8 of our $5 records for just $20!! Even if some entities feel like we shouldn’t participate in their version of Record Store Day, we strongly believe that it’s a day where you should support your favorite local record shops regardless of if they carry the titles on “the list” - truthfully, I think what we are putting out is far more exciting. We are opening at normal time to give you a chance to snag some of the list titles elsewhere, but we really hope you’ll save some budget for us, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I posted a YouTube video today with a tease of some of what’s to come! Shoutout to the homie Drew for the awesome poster.
