Muriel’s story is creepy. The previous owner from 1814 still comes back every night expecting his w**e and a table, inviting specific restaurant patrons to sit with him…

This building is terrifying. It’s the oldest in New Orleans and owned wholly by the Vatican. Supposedly the attic housed “vampires” but the reality is probably something much more sinister - another cover up by the Catholic Church.

Our amazing tour guide Deanna showed us photos of the inside of the attic - with chains on the floor and on walls supposedly for “meat”. The casket girls came from here, and I’d love to learn more about the history and what went on in that attic.

Madame LaLaurie’s home. A nasty woman if there ever was one. Read up on her. She was horrific. Tour guides won’t even walk on that side of the street because of the bad vibes. It was an unsettling building to stand in front of.

This building has a fascinating story. It’s the oldest building in New Orleans and is owned by the Vatican. The attic was rumored to be where vampires were held. Nobody is allowed in. They’re very secretive about it. Our amazing tour guide Deanna shared photos of the space - it’s scary. The story of the casket girls is a wild one.

My Bloody Valentine is so underrated and deserves a spot in the pantheon of 80s slasher movies.

I hadn’t seen this in probably 20 years and it’s just fantastic! It’s funny, goofy, campy, and the practical effects are on point with some of the genuinely most interesting kills I’ve seen on screen.

You’ve also got a great killer and a great mask, some awesome music, and a backstory that’s perfect for the slasher genre. And really, this movie did it all before those things became so cliche.

If you haven’t seen it in a while, go watch it again. It’s a great Halloween season movie and I think you’ll enjoy it more than you’d expect.

This documentary is one of the most delightful rabbit holes I’ve ever gone down.

John Wilson’s “The History of Concrete” will take you into worlds that you never knew existed. And that’s why I love his work.

I honestly can’t even explain this movie. It’s truly something you have to see for yourself.

If you’ve seen it already - how about that tattoo guy? Crazy right? That actually disturbed me 😂

Go see The History of Concrete in theaters if you can. Support John Wilson. He deserves it!

Look - I’m not saying anything about Digger as a movie or whether or not it should be making more money or getting more buzz.

But to blame audiences and say they “don’t support original movies” when 2026 has been a great year for original movies is putting the blame in the wrong place.

I’ve been so encouraged by all the originals coming out to theaters that have made good money and had buzz. One big movie failing (for many reasons) is not the fault of the audiences and people not wanting original movies.

I haven’t seen Digger yet, hence why I’m not commenting on the movie. It’s been a busy month and I hope to see it soon. I bet I’ll like it a lot.

But you can’t go blaming audiences who have shown up all year for original films just because one movie that a lot of people feel passionately about didn’t do well. It’s part of the business, and buying tickets isn’t the only metric of a film’s worth or value.

But if audiences didn’t show up for this, but did for these other movies, then there’s more to the story than people “not supporting original movies.”

Halloween Kills deserves way more love than it gets. Let me explain before you come for me.

If this movie were released in 1985, it would have landed better with audiences who were expecting this kind of movie.

But in a world full of gritty reboots and legacy sequels, I think audiences were confused. It wasn’t the same tone as Halloween 2018, and that threw people off.

If you are willing to give it another shot, I’d recommend you try it out again. It’s really great slasher filmmaking and the campiness and over the top stylistic choices fit right in with the slashers we all love from the heyday of the genre.

And it’s for the most terrifying and powerful Michael Myers ever put on screen, which is a huge plus.

Give Halloween Kills another chance. It deserves it!
