Guests gathered at The Portland Masonic to celebrate the life-changing impact a wish can have on a child and their family. Formerly known as Chips ‘n’ Dips, this event raises enough funds to help grant more than 22 wishes to Maine children with critical illnesses. The sparkling evening included live music by the Time Pilots, dancing, hors d’oeurves, drinks, mystery box draw, and an exciting auction benefiting Make-A-Wish Maine. Supporters tired their hands at blackjack, roulette, and craps tables!
Every 38 minutes Make-A-Wish® grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories and every five days, it is the wish of a Maine child. We believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve.

Prepare for a cuteness overload!
This one-of-a-kind, snoozing-crawling-toddling-friendly, definitely not scary, baby oriented costume party is the Birth Roots Center for Community Supported Parenting creative endeavor to bring more fun and attention to early parenting. Local businesses and organizations have come out in a huge show of support for this idea, partnering with Birth Roots as “activity sponsors”, providing either a toddler activity station or tabling on topics of interest to parents. The intention is to create an event that specifically & successfully supports and acknowledges the unique developmental window of the youngest among us, crawling and newly toddling babies, and newly established parents.

Motor Booty Affair's live music cast a funky dance spell over the weekend while guests enjoyed tasted vittles from Black Tie Catering and the humor of the hosts, Blake & Eva from the Coast 93.1 morning show.
Proceeds from the event went to benefit Goodwill’s workforce programs which help all people connect to work and support them to keep the job — because one thing that's scarier than your costume? Joblessness. Learn more at our website: www.goodwillnne.org

By donating to a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event you’re helping the American Cancer Society make a difference in so many ways, from funding innovative breast cancer research to simply providing a hand to hold.
