What a wonderful story!

“I love living here already! I don’t need to pull down my mask for you to know I’m smiling.” After about seven years of homelessness, James moved into his apartment at Preble Street Housing First Program, Logan Place, last month!

Over the years, James has built relationships with many Preble Street caseworkers, often challenging them to chess tournaments during his days at the Joe Kreisler Teen Shelter. Excited by the stocked library he found in his building, he looks forward to enjoying music and reading in the peace and safety of his new home.

Beautiful. Thank you to PMC staff member Josh Riddle for creating this video.
My son, Andrew Abbott, sent me this audio of his neighborhood in Brooklyn cheering the health care workers and others who are helping to get us through the pandemic. I added some pre coronavirus images I took. Please share with us on the PMC page, images, or stories of what your friends and family around the globe are doing to survive this difficult time.
I hope you will join me in sending an email, or better yet, a letter to your Congress members. Do it to save PEG (Public Education Government) access stations. There is a sample email. Just fill in your info and send! Anyone anywhere in the country can sign and send. We are all affected by this. Help ensure diversity of opinion at a local level! (I paid the extra amount to have a letter delivered. Feel strongly about this issue!)
