Get out with the goods, and you get to keep them. We helped adidas give fans a chance to snag a pre-release pair of Ultraboost LTDs from the new Unvaulted collection during the Foot Locker Week of Greatness in LA. How? By escaping a vault, of course.
Being hungry shouldn’t be one of school’s challenges. For many kids, the free and reduced lunch program at school may be their only of food on any given day. We packed 325 lunches for Portland Backpack to help over the weekends when the need is greater. Check out the program here: https://portlandbackpack.com/
Art is everywhere. Tomorrow, it’s in full force when Portland arts organization Disjecta has its Annual Art Auction. This is a rare opportunity to experience and bid on pieces from local and national artists. Come out and support the arts!

Welcome to Sr. Copywriter Lee Kimball, who’s always been curious about the how and why of things. He enjoys listening to vinyl records, going to the movie theater, and skateboarding (despite self-professed lack of ability). He would gladly eat ice cream at any time of the day or night. His grandma calls him Leerod, which is a contraction of his first and middle names – Lee Rodney. He finds it supremely frustrating that his cat, Winston, is so indifferent to him. Although he’ll claim the rejection doesn't bother him that much, it really does. If you’d like to say wassup online you can find Lee on Twitter () or Instagram ().
Hellos and high five to new Sr. Art Director Jake Holloman. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Jake comes by his design chops naturally: his illustrator and art director dad sent him down the path early. Jake even managed to snag the rare ambidextrous gene and can write and draw left-handed. He thrives on "exploring new, unexpected ways to communicate via social media, ideally by connecting people to real life stories through emerging technology." Jake’s spent time at Roundhouse working on Red Bull experiential, and DotDotDash, where he helped concept and craft AR / VR experiences. IRL, Jake is on team cat (though he’s cool with dogs) and likes to produce and DJ electronic music. Welcome to the team Jake!
We had the pleasure of Anderson Hopkins stopping in to show us their gorgeous work last week! Anderson Hopkins’ portfolio ranges across photo, video and film shoots – all awe-inducing and inspiring. Thank you for the creative break (and donuts). 😉
Well hello, Experience Manager Jenny Le! Jenny is a Portland-native who is beyond thrilled to join Swift's team. She’s most excited about, “hanging out with all of the cute dogs and collaborating with an insanely creative team that appreciates karaoke as much as I do.” She comes from Bonfire Marketing where she spent 5 years as Events, Operations, and Account Manager spearheading ops management and planning activities and events for employees and clients. Jenny is an avid traveler but when she's not on the road, you can find her hanging with her adorable pup Wookie, eating fried chicken, and hunting for her next favorite dish. Fun fact: her mom almost named her "Whitney" after Whitney Houston and she’s not really sure if she can forgive her for not doing it. Happy to have you on the team Whitney… er, Jenny.
The light and heat that creatives generate is a renewable resource. But only if it’s protected from overwork, burnout, and boredom. Hear how CEO Liz Valentine and other leaders are protecting their people at 3 Percent Conference http://bit.ly/2OeMaqH

A big hello to Receptionist Kim Bansil. Kim is relatively new to the Northwest! She moved here from New York back in 2017. “It’s been unexpected, but an interesting journey, to say the least!” Having previously served as a manager in the hotel industry on both coasts, she’s excited to learn all about the advertising industry and to be a part of Swift’s community. Outside of work, she’s always looking for new recipes to learn, volunteering at the animal shelter, diving into the world of beauty and makeup, watching rom-coms, and listening to 90’s hip-hop and R&B. We need to get on your level, Kim!
Yesterday’s panel at Fast Company's Innovation Festival with CEO Liz Valentine and other industry leaders was absolutely incredible. Huge shout-out to Deborah Wilson from Wunderman, Baldwin Cunningham from CNN, Mike Romoff from LinkedIn, and Jamie Gutfreund from Wunderman. Thanks to everyone who came!

She’s excited about the, “Swift Annual Halloween Party because karaoke of course! Oh... and the enthusiasm and power of the people that work here.” Ara is passionate about connecting people and looks forward to building amazing teams here at Swift. A warm welcome to Marketing Scientist Valentyna Wisniewski! She was born and grew up in Ukraine. She studied International Relations in Kiev, Ukraine and spent a summer in Hastings, England studying English. Outside of work, you can catch her spending time with her family and two fluffy animals, a cat named Mozart and a free-range bunny named Waffles. She loves rollerblading, playing tennis, kayaking, as well as painting and knitting. She’s very excited about, “working for an agency that prioritizes investing in its people as much as Swift does, and contributing data-driven insights.” We can’t wait to see what you and the Data Science team uncover together, V! Welcome.
Say hi to Senior Planner Amanda Bao! She loves traveling, and some of her greatest adventures include traversing Colombia to Panama by boat and Vietnam and the Philippines by motorcycle. Next up, Hong Kong to visit her family! This LA native has lived in SF and NYC, working across accounts like P&G, Johnson & Johnson, and Microsoft. The hustle and bustle of NYC spurred a spontaneous move to the greener pastures of the PNW. She lives in the SE Portland with her smiley dog Lola, a housemate, her boyfriend, and lots of houseplants. She recently started her MBA program in Design Strategy at California College of the Arts in SF where she’s able to work and live in Portland. At Swift, she’s “constantly inspired by the down-to-earth smarts and supportive instincts of this community. (And… the dogs!)” Welcome, Amanda!
Join us in welcoming Grammy Award-winning Creative Director Lawrence Azerrad as we host the launch of his new book Supersonic, The Design and Lifestyle of Concorde on 10/5. http://bit.ly/2zregLe

A warm welcome to Director of Creative Operations Wendy Martenson! She was born in the Peach State and has lived in a multitude of cities: the Windy City, the City of Fountains, the Emerald City, the Golden Gate City, Oaktown, and a few small towns in between. She once double axeled a nine-year competitive figure skating career into a brief roller skating waitress job for Sonic Drive-In. In her spare time, Wendy likes to work on houses, having flipped her latest in 2017 and spends lots of time by the pool with her two daughters who are both competitive swimmers. She’s looking forward to, “making a difference with the creative team, allowing the team to reach their potential and create great work.” Bravo, Wendy!

Over the course of his career, he has worked for agencies such as Wieden+Kennedy, 72&Sunny, Crispin Porter + Bogusky and TBWA\Chiat\Day. He's a Portland native that is in a punk band with his two boys called the Knuckleheads!!!, loves fishing of any kind, and is also on a quest to cook the perfect egg. He’s excited about, “being in a creative-led agency. There's an energy here that is uniquely Swift that I love. And its proximity to Joe's Cellar.” Cheers to that, Paul!

We’ve gone solar! 413 solar panels have been installed on our roof. These panels will cut our energy consumption by roughly 50%, offset 2,128 tons of CO2 emissions, and produce 136,538 kWh solar output for the Portland community to use a year. Thanks, Elemental Energy for the installation! The future is literally looking bright. 😎 http://bit.ly/2vLmGed
