This series of four short documentaries feature Oregon and Alaskan Native people as they discuss the impact of a changing environment on the lives of Native peoples of the Northwest along with their rich cultural arts. Accompanying the films will be a selection of shorts made by emerging Native filmmakers from Wisdom's Native Film Academy.

This series is sponsored by Oregon Cultural Trust, Native Arts and Cultures Foundation, Coquille Tribal Community Fund and Regional Arts and Culture Council.

We hope to see all of you at the Whitesell Auditorium (located at the Portland Art Museum, 1219 SW Park Avenue in Portland, OR 97205) on April 15th for the Native Wisdom Film Festival, Co-presented by Wisdom of the Elders and Northwest Film Center!!!

Wisdom will screen the series of short documentaries that have been in production since 2013. Four films feature Oregon coastal tribes, Oregon interior tribes, Alaskan Athabascans and Inupiaq of Alaska. Each of these films feature resiliency responses of Oregon tribes and Alaskan Native groups that are impacted by emerging climate and environmental issues.
