We had a really amazing set of interviews earlier this week. All I can say is that I'm truly grateful for the generosity of those who have given of their time (and stories) for this documentary project. The Hoedads are a welcoming and fascinating bunch, for sure.

Spending the next several weeks working on other people's projects: Mr. Bill Scheuner (our sound recordist for many of the Hoedads shoots) is working on his final project through the Northwest Film Center's School of Film. Plus, I'll also be putting on my DP cap for a music video shoot with Jarratt Taylor (a recent NWFC graduate) later this month. Productive times!

Materialist Forms just returned from a Friday/Saturday in Eugene. We spent several hours a piece at three different locations interviewing Hoedads. Great times, wonderful stories!

Materialist Forms spent a few hours in Wilsonville on Friday for an on camera conversation with a former Hoedads co-op member. Working on setting up more interviews down in and around Eugene for the last weekend in April, too!

After a month-long hiatus for PIFF, we're starting to coordinate things for mid-to-late March production dates. More info on the horizon!
Also looking to start a blog, wordpress, or webpage before long with more info on the project, including production stills, regular updates, subject and production team biographies, etc. Hoping for it to be a hub where those interested in the Hoedads project can drop in anytime and catch up with where we're at with it.

Got the Hoedads documentary project on the brain (nothing new about that, really).
Busy lining up interviews for a mid-January trek down to Eugene. Extremely exciting, as it promises to be our most productive production jaunt to date!

Our second round of interviews happen today. We'll be sitting down with two members of the Hoedads co-op for on-camera conversations. The pleasure is all ours.

Take a gander at the lead story of this most recent edition of the Oregon Quarterly. Written by Robert Leo Heilman, who we spent some time with during our first weekend of production, it shares the same subject as our documentary project.

Oregon Quarterly is the magazine of the University of Oregon. Four times a year, we present the diversity of ideas and peoples associated with the University
