If stay-at-home moms actually got paid for everything we do, the paycheck would blow people’s minds.
Childcare worker:$40,000+ a year
Housekeeper: $30,000+
Chef: $50,000+
Personal assistant: $40,000+
Nurse: $60,000+
Teacher: $45,000+
Chauffeur, laundry service, therapist, 24/7 on-call employee… priceless.
Add it all up and a stay-at-home mom’s yearly “salary” should easily hit six figures, without overtime included. And guess what? We’re working overtime every single day.
So no, I don’t “just stay home.” I run an entire household, raise tiny humans, and keep everything functioning, without a paycheck, without a raise, and without days off.
