This is a hoot. In 2018 saw this Flora necklace in a vintage store shortly after we had worked together. She bought it and sent it to me. A few weeks ago, in 2023 it was returned to her in NYC at a home postal office where she DOESN’T EVEN HAVE A PO BOX. Naturally she resent it and it has alas found it’s way into my hands. It happens to be a remarkably similar font to the vintage Flora sign I have here, too. Thank you, Rose. I don’t know what’s sweeter, the necklace itself or the story of it getting here. 🌸✨💐✨🌹

New song out today from the record I got to make with my father. This one one leans a bit psychedelic. It’s one of the first songs he wrote. It’s harmonic choices are unusual for him likely because he didn’t write it on an instrument, it was all written in his head, or “in the air” as he puts it. So when he got to the studio to record this song originally in 1964, he just sang it to the hired players and they filled in the lines with their instruments. Our version launches off from there and features Peter Buck on electric sitar as well as the late great reedsman Ralph Carney on various horns. Ralph had an accident and passed away shortly after record this. The rest of the band here is Eli Moore, Steve Moore, Jon Hyde, Steve Nistor and myself. Thanks for listening!

Congratulations to the musical force that is Madison Cunningham for her Grammy for Best Folk Album. (It’s not really a folk album) I’m proud to have been able to be a part of it. No better way to celebrate Madi than to do so alongside and , the album’s other producers and my gorgeous date . Thanks to Anna Fritz and for playing and string arranging. And .skoal for assisting. It was such a thrill to witness Madison in action in the studio. Absolutely brilliant and delightful to collaborate with. I can’t wait to see what see does next. 🥂✨❤️
