Good news bad news. The bad news is this is delayed a couple months so we can give bands who are touring and Festing some time to finish their tracks. The good news is the extended deadline allowed us to add a few more awesome bands to the project! It’ll be worth the wait until 2026. Also, we’ve got space for one or two more bands if anybody like or want to get involved. Just drop a DM.

Release day! This new 12” records collects and remasters the first two albums “Nervous Birds!” And “Nervous Birds Too” originally released on cassette tape. Yellow copies are sold out, and we’ve only got about 25 black copies left. Get ‘em while you can!

It was never my intention for Drunk Dial to branch out to releasing 12” vinyl, I was wary of working with other labels. But I fell in love with those Nervous Birds tapes and was desperate to put out anything with Night Court. Because member(s) of the band don’t get drunk, the traditional 7” session was off the table. Eventually the idea of releasing these tapes as a single record (as originally intended) came up and I was on board %100. I joined up with the labels who released the tapes originally ( and and we recruited an EU label and we made this record! It came out really great and the whole experience was cool as s**t. I hope you buy the copies because they take up so much room compared to 7” and also because it’s a great album that I’d highly recommend even if I was hooked up to a lie detector/chainsaw combination thing that probably exists in US police stations now. Anyway. DM me your favorite song from the album and I’ll tell you that you’re wrong and explain why my favorite song is actually the best one. 🍻

I try not to talk too much about myself on the label account, but I’m going to be turning 40 in a couple days and it has me feeling really introspective. I have a poster on my wall and it’s crushing to me that I’m turning 40 this genius musician and beloved person never got to see a day of his 30s. The mind reels when thinking about the music we could have gotten from him. My heart aches for all the people who knew him and still miss him. Life is brutal. Over the years I’ve shared my fandom with people I’ve met through the label, name dropped Jay in interviews when listing inspirations. Maybe it’s self indulgent, but here I am doing it again. A little Jay tribute and little bit showing off what remains of my collection. Thank your heroes, hug your friends, quit taking drugs. Let it all go.

It’s been a bit since our last release, but we are back with a BANG and our first 12” vinyl. This one comes from our Canadian pals and collects their first two records “Nervous Birds!” and “Nervous Birds! Too” originally released on cassette tape. 26 tracks remastered for vinyl and (lovingly) crammed into a single disc. Preorder now from to get your hands on a yellow copy (100 pressed worldwide). Just got this picture from my friend .gremlina It’s an outtake from the photoshoot that would produce the cover of Drunk Dial volume 1 with the band Ghost Ring. I’ve put out 15 releases since then and have learned so much that it’s bittersweet to look back at that single. I would do so many things differently today. One thing I wouldn’t change is the cover photo! It’s still awesome, and it set the standard for all the color drenched covers that came after it. Thanks for sharing it, .gremlina
