We just spoke with our good friends at and we’re stoked to announce that Filmed By Bike 2025 will be happening in Portland at the Hollywood Theater from May 16th to 18th, 2025! Stay tuned for more info.

Dear Filmed by Bike Community,

After 21 incredible years, it’s time for me to pass the Filmed by Bike torch to new leadership. From day one, Filmed by Bike has always been about more than the films - it’s been about you, the Filmed by Bike community.

Together, we built something special, celebrating diverse stories and creating a space for connection, conversation and - most importantly - our love for bikes.

I’m thrilled to introduce the new owners: Alden Roth and Erik Douds! As avid cyclists and talented filmmakers, they’re dedicated to honoring the festival’s legacy while keeping our community at its core. I’m eager to see how their creativity will shape and grow the festival in exciting new ways.

To celebrate this monumental transition, we will be at the Bike Portland Bike Happy Hour for everyone to meet Alden and Erik, followed by a 2 mile bike ride to the Hollywood Theater for a group photo. I’d love for you all to join us!
