Washington is just ridiculous. šŸ˜‚
In one spot you get glaciated peaks and just a couple hours away you’re in a rainforest. You can chase waterfalls, watch the sunrise from a mountaintop, hike through fields of wildflowers, or find an alpine lake tucked underneath some massive mountain.
Living in Washington has absolutely ruined normal scenery for me.
These are just a few of the places that keep reminding me how wild this state actually is:
šŸ”ļø Mt. Rainierā€ØšŸŒ² Hoh Rain Forestā€ØšŸŒ… Mount Pilchuck ā€ØšŸ’¦ Lower Lewis River Fallsā€ØšŸ‚ Cascade Passā€ØšŸžļø Lake Serene
And somehow, there are still SO many places here I haven’t seen yet.
Which one are you going to first?

I still have moments where I look around and think… wait, this is my job?! šŸ˜‚
A few weeks ago I was invited on my first outdoor industry PR trip with in Idaho’s Sawtooth Mountains.
If you’ve never heard of a PR trip, brands bring together creators, media and people from the industry to experience their products in the real world, build relationships and create content along the way.
For us, that meant hiking, hot springs, camping under the mountains, testing some incredible gear from brands like Gregory Mountain Products Therm-a-Rest and Philip Curry — and attempting a 35-mile mountain bike ride. šŸ˜… Their guides made a group with VERY different experience levels all feel supported and included. I made it about 15 of the 35 miles and still walked away wanting to mountain bike more, so I’d call that a win. šŸ˜‚
But my favorite part wasn’t actually the gear or the adventures.
For most of my creator career, I’ve done this from behind a laptop or alone on a trail. Brand relationships happen through emails. Other creators are people I know through Instagram. The ā€œoutdoor industryā€ has always felt like this big abstract thing that I somehow work in without actually feeling like I’m part of it.
This trip made it feel real.
I learned a ton, laughed a lot, made new friends and came home feeling really excited about where this little career of mine is taking me. ā¤ļø
Huge thank you to Verde Brand Communications for bringing us all together, for making the adventure happen, and Gregory Mountain Products Therm-a-Rest MSR Mountain Safety Research + all of the brands who made the trip possible.
Turns out networking is significantly better when mountain bikes, campfires and a little gin is involved. šŸ˜‚

I don’t organize because I’m Type A...I organize because I’m absolutely not. šŸ˜†

I’ve been using Gregory Mountain Products Alpaca Gear Box because it’s basically indestructible, and I love the clear lid. I can see everything at a glance without digging through it.

Everything needs a place because im kind of a hot mess šŸ˜…
My tee is the new Astral h**p tee which im absolutely loving and wearing everywhere!

Here is why some paddle boards have a center handle.
They are built for different styles of paddling. Some more leisure and yoga, some for more exploring.
