"I *think*,

There are 'pretty people' everywhere, Auggie. Pretty is affordable. Anyone can buy it at the gym, the clothing store, the cosmetic counter. Pretty is so attainable because Pretty is skin deep.

Beauty, on the other hand, isn't readily available. Beauty requires a human to have suffered a bit, thought about it, and thus understand and engage in the value of a kind heart. It requires optimism, and a comfort in one's own skin. It is these things that burst out through the eyes, creep slyly out of the posture and the hair's whip, and glow in one's interactions.

Beauty CAN illuminate 'pretty', if it is there. But pretty will never be beautiful on its own.

Beauty's what ya got. So sneeze and keep going."
