At 4:23 this morning PF&R crews were dispatched to report of a fire at a Kenworth parts and repair facility. When crews arrived they found heavy smoke from several doors of the large Kenworth facility. Ladder Truck 8 put their "bucket style" ladder to the roof so that crews could assess the extent of fire spread, they found that some fire had burned through a skylight and extended to the roof but were able to contain it. Once crews were able to make entry into the large smoke filled space they found that the fire was a actually the cab's of two tractor/trailer style trucks. Fire crews also encountered diesel and oil from the large trucks. Crews were instructed by Incident Commanders to use foam with their hose lines to extinguish the liquid fuels that were on fire. With the help of several Ladder Trucks and Engines PF&R crews were able to extinguish the fire and begin the salvage and investigation phase. Their were working sprinklers in the building but the fire load from the large trucks was too much for just the sprinkler system to contain.

Arson investigators said the cause would be submitted as "undetermined" at this time and the damage assessment was set at $1,000,000.

Good morning everyone, I know some of my friends are actively looking for work, but there is a company you need to be aware of that is a 100% scam.
WN Positions, using the number 971-231-1420 called me this morning. The guy started aggressively trying to get personal information from me. After having to talk over the guy, asking 4 times what survey it was that I supposedly filled out, never getting a straight answer and him trying to push for my info each time, I finally hung up and Google their info.
BBB rates them an F and several state attorney generals have active cases against them.
I just wanted to let all of you know, so you don't get scammed. As always, use your head and beware of strangers with gifts that are to go to be true.

At 6:40am Boring Fire was dispatched to the 22000 block of SE Borges Rd. on a report of a residential fire. Crews arrived on scene to find heavy smoke billowing out from the roof. The crews quickly went to work to extinguish the fire.
A passerby called 911 when they saw smoke coming from the house. After fire crews conducted a search of the home, it was determined that no one was home at the time of the fire. There were two dogs that escaped the fire unharmed.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire. Boring Fire was assisted by Clackamas Fire, Gresham Fire and Portland Fire. There were five Command staff and nine pieces of apparatus on scene.

At 10:56 Wednesday evening Portland Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a report of smoke coming from a residence. The report was made by a neighbor who saw smoke coming from an exterior door. Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from an upstairs bedroom. Crews made entry with hose lines and found that smoke and fire had spread beyond the bedroom on the second floor of the residence. Additional responders were sent to assist with the fire attack and were able to contain it to the second floor. One person was taken to Emanuel Hospital with burn injuries. Fire investigators are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of this fire.

While waiting for a doctor's appointment, I just witnessed a Multnomah County undercover drug bust near the Gateway Fred Meyers and Max station . I will have video later, for the safety of the undercover officers I will need to blur out their faces first, so stay tuned.
