So if you ever need data recovery services, avoid DriveSavers Data Recovery.

1: They engage in shady business practices involving exclusive deals with drive manufacturers that prevent other data recovery services from being able to provide service, artificially inflating the price.

2: Their price is misleading. They give you a range of $700-$3,900. But the ACTUAL price is $3,900. They only discount it if they can't get all of your data.

3: Last, and most importantly, DriveSavers Data Recovery sent me someone else's hard drive. This is an incredibly unsafe and complete breach in the trust involved in handling someone's data. It also has some legal implications which I plan to explore, as their unsafe handling of data is how s*x tapes get leaked, or financial information stolen.

When I talked to them about this, they just tried to very nonchalantly request I send the drive back. Blowing off how serious this is. Thankfully I'm a good person and the drive is going back to the owner without my interaction with it, but the fact that it happened, and DriveSavers Data Recovery didn't even consider talking through how much trust is lost in this, is astounding.

Do not use this company. Feel free to share this so other people don't get duped and ripped off, or their data compromised.

Know how to use pro tools well but don't have a studio capable of facilitating clients? Hit me up. Paid work. Basically looking to have an engineer under me that clients with smaller budgets can utilize while still enjoying the benefits of a well rounded studio and clean AF vocal chain.

If you don't know how to use pro tools, but use another daw, I can give a crash course. If you don't know how to use any DAW but want to learn, you'd have to pay for that time since we would be starting from the ground up.
